Jehovah Jireh

WOW.

I have been trying to write this post for several days now, it is just so hard to put into words.

This holiday season has been such a blessing to us.  The Christmas that I was afraid of because our daughter would not be here to celebrate it with us has brought so many blessings.  We got our Christmas miracle!

The month started off with some big blessings!   First we were given a nice donation to our FSP by a family member and then We were told that someone who we had never met before from our Church wanted to donate some Skymiles to us to cover some of our airfare.  How awesome is that?  We met with this person and were able to book all of our US flights using his Miles.  Talk about a blessing!  But it did not end there, this person also had many hotel points as well and we were able to use these points to book several nights in a NICE hotel (sadly for me, I will be out of the country while Jason and Claudia get to stay there).  So not only did we get some of our airfare for free (after paying fees to the airline of course...)  but we were also blessed with free nights at a hotel.  This is HUGE.  The complete selflessness of this person amazed us, we were so humbled by this gift.  The person could have easily taken a beautiful vacation with all of the points he had saved up but instead felt led to give them to us.  I am still in awe of this act of selflessness!

Then, just a few days before Christmas, we got an email that blew us away!  One of the amazing women working for Reeces Rainbow sent me an email saying that someone wanted to bless us.  Someone that we don't even know wanted to fund the rest of our adoption!  (You can scream and jump up and down right now... go ahead!)  Someone saw our need and donated $8000!  Can you believe that, $8000!  Again we were absolutely humbled by this act of generosity and selflessness.  I have known all along that God is in control (although it was not always easy to see) and He really blessed us when we needed it.

We get to meet Claudia in a week and a half and are beyond excited!  Please continue to pray for us as we have a difficult couple of months ahead of us.  We are excited about them but also know that they will be very trying.  Claudia will mourn the loss of her foster family and we will have to work through that. Also, we have no idea how long Jason will be in country due to the judicial strike of last year.  Please pray that things go more smoothly than we ever thought possible!

We want to wish you all a Happy New Year.
